"Stay the Night"

(Me with Shinedown. I'm the one in the middle.)
I know you might not know me, but what can I say about myself that hasn't already been said (or yelled at me out of a car window)? Fatty...yeah. I'm a little chubby. Smart-ass...usually...but I prefer sarcastically inclined. You’re an ass...sometimes (most of the time). In general, I’m a normal early-thirties male except for one thing. I love music, movies, sports, and women (just like the other guys)...just not beer. But I do wear beer shirts to give the impression that I drink and that I’m cool. I have a house, a wife, a cat, a bad case of road rage when mood hits me, and an on-again/off-again addiction to video games (NCAA Football and MVP 07 NCAA Baseball). Everything else is pretty much explained by my chosen profession…radio guy. It’s the only job I know where you can dress like a slacker college student well into your 40’s, hang out in bars every night of the week, get lots of free stuff, and get paid to do it (albeit not much, but it pays the bills…almost). So, there I am. And please stop yelling at me from your car window. I can’t hear you over the roar of your Pinto anyway.
Music
As a child of the 80's, I love all kinds of music. Rock (of course), Hip-Hop, Alternative, Country...everything. Well, not everything. I hate classical music.
(My Favorite Band)
Here are a few more artists/bands I like: Counting Crows, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, Tool, Soundgarden, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kanye West, The Streets, Fountains of Wayne, Hank Williams, Hank Williams Jr., Hank III, Johnny Cash, Shooter Jennings, and many more.
Sports
I grew up in the Ohio Valley, so it's a given that I like watching some hoops. I also like football, baseball, and soccer of all kinds, but unlike anyone else you know, my sports passion is college baseball.

(Ian and Tractor at the College World Series, 2006)
(Inside Jim Patterson Stadium in Louisville, KY)
Here are the teams I follow:
Baseball - The University of Louisville, Ball State University, Miami University, California State Univeristy - Fullerton, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Oakland Athletics
Basketball - New Albany High School, Ball State University, The University of Louisville, Duke University, and the Los Angeles Lakers
Football - Ball State University, The University of Louisville, Miami University, and the Chicago Bears
Soccer - Team USA, MLS, English Premier League
Movies/TV
When I'm not listening to music or watching sports, I have something in the DVD player, be it a movie or a television show (I'm never home to watch TV shows when they are actually on, so I have to buy what I want to see on DVD).
Movies - High Fidelity, Wedding Crashers, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Almost Famous, Singles, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Old School, Anchorman, The Big Lebowski, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Daredevil, Thor, etc.
TV - The Family Guy, Man vs. Food, Lie To Me, Castle, That 70's Show, The Andy Griffith Show, One Tree Hill, etc.
And yes, I know some of those shows have been cancelled. Doesn't mean I stopped liking them.
The Ten Club- Home of the Pearl Jam Fanclub (it obviously needs to be at the top of the list)
U of L Baseball - Home of the U of L Baseball Cards
Rivals - Home to the Rivals Network, one of the biggest college sports sites on the web
ESPN - If you don't know, you better recognize
IMDB - Movies, movies, and more movies
antiMusic - Great source for music news
CD Player:

Rise Against – Endgame
Rise Against always give you their opinion. This can turn people off from some bands that don’t do it well, but no one does it better right now than they do. They tell you what they have to say and combine it with catchy hooks and great guitars. You understand their viewpoint and get entertained at the same time. It’s a win/win for everyone, and their newest effort “Endgame” is no different. A solid listen all of the way through. I highly recommend it.
DVR:

I like comic books, but I love comic book movies and TV shows. Arrow is one of my new favorites. It’s a cool telling of the Green Arrow story (which I must admit I know very little about). Don’t know how true it is to the comic (haven’t read it), but it is a very good show.

The Godfather
So I have begun a quest to watch all of the movies on both the original AFI Top 100 list from 1998 and the updated 2007 version. I think the total number is 123 films between both lists. I thought I would begin with on of the movies I already own and love, The Godfather.
Needless to say, it will take me a while to get through them, but I will update my progress on my Facebook page (the link is above) and give you my review of each movie as I go.
PC Memory:

I have decided to dip into my childhood on this one. I’ve only read the first few issues, but I already know that I am going to like these. And really, knowing is half the battle.

The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass
Yep, still reading it. I told you I read very slowly. I wasn't lying.
